I recently sent two selmer mouthpieces to Brad Behn to be refaced. One was an HS*, the other an "S"=both mouthpieces had facings on the table in an oval. Both sound very good, but I prefer the "S" mouthpiece to the HS*. I have heard and read that the HS* is a fine mouthpiece, and a mouthpiece that many who do custom ...The A barrel must be larger than Bb. The normal scope of a Bb is 63-65 mm and of an A is 65-67. The middle is 64 y 66 but this depends on many factores including player and environmental factors. I know a Bb clarinetist that has a 67mm as barrel and is happy.
